Trader Joe's

Playing grocery store has been one of Jack's favorite activities for a while. It's one we always pull out on a rainy day because it can go on and on...forever. He loves to lay out all of pretend food from the play kitchen and then stroll the "aisles" (otherwise known as our dining room chairs) picking out his items and tossing them into his shopping cart. He is very serious about the whole thing and likes the food to be organized just so- fruits and veggies together in one spot, frozen things in another. Now that he has a cash register (thank you Grandma!) and a pretend wallet (thank you Great-Grandma Eleanor) he is really all set. We added some pretend credit cards to the wallet (my old blockbuster card and a little card with his picture from chuck e cheese) to take the fun up a notch. Yesterday he named his store Trader Joe's and Miles got in on the action too.

Jack the checker.
Now it's Miles turn to push all the buttons (this is the best part).
Miles carefully selects his items.
Apple? Check.
Unloading the cart so that Jack can ring everything up.
Aren't they cute together?!
