Chore Time!

He folds better than Evan!

Very proud of his new vacuuming skills

I decided that one of my goals for this summer was to start regular chores for Jack. He's a good helper anyways and pretty capable of doing simple household tasks with guidance so this summer seemed like a good opportunity to teach him a few new skills and expect him to help around the house more consistently. So far, it's been a total success!

Here are the jobs that Jack is responsible for doing each week:

Put dirty clothes in the laundry basket

Clear his plate to the counter after each meal

Help fold laundry (his specialty is washcloths!)

Put his stack of clean laundry away in his drawers

Vacuum his room once a week

Help vacuum the living room as needed

Pick up toys in his room and the living room each evening after baths

Move laundry from the washer to the dryer and start the dryer

An unexpected bonus is that Miles, who is not one to be left behind, is also becoming quite the helper around the house too :)

Love all the chores!! I might steal some.... =) And the picture of Jack with the folded laundry is great! (Looks like a lot of his Grandpa Choy in him!) ;-)

Yes, it is clear that Jack got the neat and tidy Choy gene.
