Napa

We just got back from a 2 day get-away to Napa with the boys and Evan's mom. Even though the trip was a quick one, it really felt like a mini-vacation to be away from the normal routines and responsibilities of home and work. We are already looking forward to playing hooky again soon...

We wish that Miles had done a little more of this at night...but hey, he's not perfect!

Jack was captivated by this construction sight in downtown Napa..."Look! A crane! Look! A front end loader! Look! A dump truck!" This might have been the highlight of his trip.

He also loved swimming in the (indoor) pool and his first bowl of fruit loops (we were on vacation after all...)

Guess what we're growing...

The big boys in our house have been hard at work on a project. Any guesses about what they're building???

Silly, messy, fun!

The weather has been rainy. Again. It's March now, so some of my rainy day fun activities have lost their wow factor. Time to brainstorm some new silly and/or messy projects. We've been having a good time...but we're really ready for a taste of spring!

Who doesn't love to fingerpaint?

Jack thought it would be fun to make clippers out of tinker toys and give Miles a haircut.

Miles was surprisingly cooperative about the whole thing!
When all else fails, pulling tons of books off the bookshelf is always a good time. Extra fun if you're Miles and get to stand up on brother's chair in order to do it.
