Play Ball!
This spring Jack and Evan took a Tot T-Ball class. For 4 weeks they spent Saturday mornings at the local park with about 10 other 3 year olds and their parents getting an introduction to the game. The instructor was great with the kids and they really made a lot of progress from the first class to the last (I think Evan described the first class as "herding cats" but by the end they were able to bat, run the bases, and field the ball...not too shabby!).

This brings a smile to my face
Miles wants to be a reader. He insists on checking out his own stack of board books at the library each week. His new favorite spot in the house is on the couch...with a book or two at his side. But the best of all is when Evan comes home from work...Miles runs down the hall shouting "Dada, Dada!" with a book in his hand and demands to be read to...pronto! It just might be the cutest thing. Ever.

It Must Be Monday
Every Monday morning (bright and early!) you will find Jack and Miles standing on the couch, looking out our front window, waiting for the arrival of the garbage truck...you would think it might get old week after week, but so far the Monday morning arrival of the garbage truck is still major excitement in the Hamilton house!

Jack's 1st Day of Preschool
Today was Jack's first day of preschool- he is officially a big kid now (in his mind at least!). He was full of nervous excitement last night and had many, many questions as we were putting him to bed..."Does the playground have swings? Who will push me on the swings? Is there bark or sand? What about the potty? Does it have an automatic flusher? What songs will we sing? Where will we have snack?" It's eye-opening to hear all of the little thoughts running through his head- this is a big transition for him! But, when Miles and I dropped him off this morning he was all smiles and after a hug, he waved goodbye and joined his new buddies for circle time. It sounds like he had a great day- according to his recap, he played trucks and dinosaurs, painted, and ate cheez-its for snack. Looks like we're off to a good start...
Mom- this is sooo embarassing!
He's ready to go!
