Halloween

We had such a good time celebrating Halloween this year! The boys are at a great age for enjoying all kinds of holiday fun and over the last few weeks it feels like we've done a lot- trips to the pumpkin patch, Jack's class party, decorating our house, carving pumpkins, and of course trick-or-treating. I love it! This year Jack dressed up as a fireman and Miles was a dalmatian (or Jack's "fire dog"- yes, he may resent us later but it was just too cute!). On Halloween we had our good friends Greg and Deana and their daughter Riley Reh over for pizza and then headed out for trick-or-treating. Here are a few pics. of the fun:

Riley Reh was Ariel, Miles the dalmatian, and Jack the fireman

It's hard to get a great picture of all 3 kids at once, so I'm posting a few...

Ready for some treats!

Brothers :)

Trick-or-treat! (Check out Miles leading the pack- he was fearless and even learned to say "Happy Halloween"!)

Preschool Pumpkin Patch Field Trip

Our 3rd (and final!) trip to the pumpkin patch was a field trip with Jack's preschool class. It was fun to see Jack with all of his school friends. The kids had a busy, busy day (the moms did too!).

Waiting at the entrance to the pumpkin patch- Jack's ready to get started already!
The boys with their chosen pumpkins.
Miles tries to lift them both...all by himself (of course)

Picking Pumpkins in Half Moon Bay

A few weekends ago the boys and I headed to Fremont for a visit. We spent one morning at the Lemos Farm pumpkin patch in Half Moon Bay with Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunty Julie followed by a picnic lunch at the beach. We had a great time!

Jack spotted this pony and hopped up for a ride.
Miles was not about to be left behind, and he hopped up next!

Hmmm...which should I choose?

Aloha-Hop

At the beginning of September our neighborhood elementary school held an "Aloha-Hop" to kick off the start of the new school year. (I just rediscovered these pictures on my camera when uploading our Halloween pics. and they're too cute not to share first). Jack's preschool is also located here so it was fun to show our school support and see lots of his neighborhood and preschool buddies. Families brought lawn chairs and blankets and we enjoyed dinner out on the lawn. The kids dressed in their Hawaiian clothes and learned to dance the hula and macarena! A fun night all around.

We started with dinner on the lawn- the weather was perfect for eating outside.

Next, the kids learned a few dances. Jack got a kick out of the macarena!

Learning some moves with his buddies.

Miles decided to hang back and watch...
You can macarena next year Miles!
